This Privacy Policy describes how Gnat Labs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application uSudoku (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following limited information:

• Anonymous identifier: When you first open the App, Firebase assigns your device a random, anonymous identifier. This identifier is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
• Game data: We store your puzzle progress, statistics (puzzles solved, best times, streaks), and settings, associated with your anonymous identifier.
• Crash reports: If the App crashes, Firebase Crashlytics automatically collects crash data including device model, operating system version, and app state at the time of the crash. This data helps us identify and fix bugs.
• Usage statistics: Google Analytics for Firebase collects anonymous usage data including screen views, feature usage, session duration, and general device information (OS version, device model, country/region). This data helps us understand how the App is used and improve it.

None of the crash or analytics data is linked to your identity or your anonymous game identifier — it is purely technical and statistical. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use This Information

We use the information described above to:

• Save and restore your game progress, statistics, and settings
• Identify and fix crashes and technical issues
• Understand how users interact with the App to guide improvements
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App

3. Data Storage and Security

Game data is stored using Google Firebase, a secure cloud platform, associated only with your anonymous identifier. Crash reports and usage statistics are processed by Google Firebase services. All data is stored on Google's servers and protected by Google's security infrastructure.

Game data is also cached locally on your device. Because no personal information is collected, this data cannot reasonably be linked back to you as an individual.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your information with third parties, except the following service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Google Firebase — backend infrastructure, anonymous data storage (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting service (Firebase Privacy Policy)
• Google Analytics for Firebase — anonymous usage analytics (Google Privacy Policy)
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law

5. Your Rights and Data Deletion

Since uSudoku does not collect personal identifiers (such as names, emails, or phone numbers), we do not possess identifiable personal data that you can access or modify directly. Your game data is tied strictly to an anonymous cloud identifier generated upon installation.

You maintain full control over this data and can delete it at any time through the following methods:

• Clearing Storage: You can completely erase your local progress, anonymous cloud identifier, and Firebase server records by going to your Android device settings: Settings → Apps → uSudoku → Storage → Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the App: Deleting the App from your device permanently removes the only link you had to your anonymous cloud identifier — without the App installed, this identifier cannot be regenerated or accessed by you again. Any data remaining on our servers is no longer associated with an active user and is not used for any purpose.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information from any user, no personal data is knowingly or unknowingly collected from children.

7. International Data Transfers

Anonymous game data, crash reports, and usage statistics may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where Google's servers are located.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
